Week 6

Nothing new completed and not a ton more progress to report, but it's been a rough week so I'm not really beating myself up over it. Plus a good number of my goals are things that are going to take time to complete so I'm not really expecting to be crossing off a lot this early on.

24. Drink only water for a month three times
-- I am going to turn into a puddle, but better a puddle than a pool!

25. Drink one glass of regular water for every bottle of flavored water for a month three times
-- I. miss. flavors.

29. Walk to 19 and back once a week for month three times (1/5)
-- Began as of 02/24/08, first of three thus will be complete 03/24/08.

52. Learn how to cook five things
-- 1. Sausage & Mushroom Stirfry. Random concoction after wandering around the store unable to decide what I wanted to dinner. It turned out delicious, particularly considering this was my first time making a whole real meal and not many months ago I regularly screwed up macaroni and cheese. 02/19/08

67. Complete The Intellectual Devotional (56/365)
-- One per day for a year. I've kept it up daily so far.

74. Solve a Rubix cube
-- So not a good idea to try something so frustration while PMSing, but I anticipate this taking a long time so I figured I should start. 02/25/08

92. Write two pages in my diary every week for two months, twice (8/9)
-- Five weeks this month, four weeks next month.

February 17, 2008

Week 5

Once more, not a ton of new things accomplished, but I am still going steady with some of the things I hoped to achieve for this month. Over all I remain ecstatic that I decided to try this Mission 1001 thing and I look forward to crossing more things off the list..

In Progress

24. Drink only water for a month three times
-- Despite the fact I've been drinking mostly just water for months now, not having the occasional sip of tea or something here and there is much harder than I was expecting, but I guess that's what makes it a challenge.

25. Drink one glass of regular water for every bottle of flavored water for a month three times
-- It didn't occur to me just how much plain water this would amount to me drinking if I combined this goal with the one above. SO not doing that next time around.

57. Learn the area well enough to at least know how to find major cities
-- I can now find St. Pete, Clearwater and Largo with relative ease and I am starting to figure out my way around the Clearwater-ish area just by paying attention while out with the boy.

67. Complete The Intellectual Devotional (48/365)
-- One per day for a year. I've kept it up daily so far.

90. Decorate/design a room
-- I have an idea for my room in mind that I think will be pretty spiffy and not too hard to cover up if I still wind up moving out in the near-ish future. Design part is underway, at least, just waiting on my dad to be available to redo all the wires for me to actually do the decorating part.

92. Write two pages in my diary every week for two months, twice (7/9)
-- Five weeks this month, four weeks next month.

93. Watch a movie I haven't seen before every month for a year
(2/12)
-- 1. I Am Legend, 3:10 to Yuma, Death Sentence, Chuck and Larry, Stand by Me, Dreamcatcher, and Sunshine. Seriously, this is more new movies than I usually watch in a year.
-- 2. Momento, Across the Universe, Match Point. Between my best friend and boyfriend, this goal is starting to seem too easy. Pending getting a paying job, I may change it to seeing a new movie in theaters every month.

Week 4

A day later than usual, but none the less - Progress update. Not too many changes since the last one, but I am particularly pleased with number 31. =)


24. Drink only water for a month three times

31. Lose 42 pounds by my 21st birthday (10/42)
-- I'm thinking I should've left myself a little wiggle room on this since I'm losing inches much faster than I'm losing pounds (and I am perfectly happy with that!), but since this is the way the goal is written, this is the way I'm going to try to do it. Roughly six months and thirty more pounds to go (at least for THIS goal).

51. Tell ten other people about Mission 1001

The Old Man and the Sea Not my favorite book of all time, but I understand the literary appeal of it all. I did enjoy it and felt for the old man. I really like how well captured his mindset was.

Week 3

A little more progress, a lot more satisfaction. I'm still beyond glad I decided to do this.

-- Bought four shirts, gave away four shirts.
-- Bought a few more shirts, gave away a few more shirts.

48. Offer unsolicited help ten times (2/10)
-- Someone parked next to me had spilled coffee in their car; I gave them paper towels and took their trash to the can.
